Four Key Areas of Presidential Election Pledges, Samsung Asset Management: "Seize with KODEX ETF"

The direction of the next government's policies is a major variable that will shake the market landscape. In response, Samsung Asset Management unveiled a roadmap on the 29th, ahead of the presidential election on the 3rd of next month, to proactively present investment opportunities based on the common policy stances of major candidates.
This presidential election is a crucial turning point in choosing a leader who will secure new growth engines for the Korean economy and solve pressing issues. Policies emphasized by major candidates across party lines are likely to be pursued as national tasks after the presidential inauguration. Accordingly, Samsung Asset Management has selected four key themes: △Artificial Intelligence (AI) Semiconductors and Power Infrastructure △Renewable Energy △Finance △Construction.
The first area, 'AI Semiconductors and Power Infrastructure', is considered a key driver of the future economy and is prioritized by both parties. Accelerating data center construction and promoting related tax benefits are aligned with the policy stance of not only Korea but also the Trump administration in the United States. Amid this trend, 'KODEX AI Semiconductors', which invests in semiconductor companies with domestic AI semiconductor competitiveness, and 'KODEX AI Power Core Equipment', which focuses on Korean companies leading the power equipment sector essential for strengthening the AI ecosystem, are gaining attention.
Furthermore, examining the energy and climate crisis-related pledges of presidential candidates, it is expected that investment in renewable energy and new energy technology development will increase further. Consequently, large-scale infrastructure investments, such as building an energy highway, are gaining renewed attention. Samsung Asset Management classifies 'KODEX Renewable Energy Active', which focuses on leading companies in the renewable and eco-friendly energy industry such as solar, wind, nuclear, and hydrogen, as related products.
Moreover, the emphasis by prominent candidates on strengthening shareholder return policies, such as easing and separating dividend income tax for companies and individuals, is noteworthy. This is expected to maximize the investment appeal of financial stocks, a representative high-dividend sector.
Samsung Asset Management has selected 'KODEX Financial High Dividend TOP10 Target Weekly Covered Call', which invests in the top 10 financial companies offering high dividends due to expanded shareholder returns and seeks to distribute a 15% annual premium through call option sales, as a related product. Additionally, 'KODEX Securities', which invests in core related stocks of the domestic securities industry expected to perform well with election policy expectations and good performance, is noted as a high-dividend stock.
Finally, real estate (expansion of housing supply), SOC (social overhead capital), and regional balanced development policies are expected to invigorate the construction industry. 'KODEX Construction', which invests in core related stocks of the domestic construction industry expected to benefit from such policy benefits in the next government, should be noted.
Kim Do-hyeong, head of ETF Consulting at Samsung Asset Management, said, "This presidential election will be the most important turning point to resolve policy uncertainty and present a new direction for the Korean economy," adding, "We have prepared webinars and roadmaps to help investors efficiently invest in key policy benefit areas by closely analyzing the common pledges of major candidates."
