[Financial News] Lotte Innovate announced on the 29th that they conducted a cemetery renovation volunteer service at the National Seoul Cemetery on the 28th to commemorate the 70th Memorial Day. Lotte Innovate has been conducting cemetery maintenance volunteer services at the National Cemetery every year since 2021 to commemorate the month of patriotism and veterans. This volunteer service, which has been ongoing for five years, also includes participation from employees' families, adding to its significance.
Lotte Innovate employees paid their respects at the Memorial Tower and then renovated the cemetery by cleaning tombstones and collecting withered flowers at the Independence Patriots' Cemetery and the Provisional Government Officials' Cemetery. Afterwards, the employees concluded their tribute by visiting the Memorial Altar for the Martyrs, which houses the memorial tablets of patriots like Yu Gwan-sun, who died during the independence movement but whose remains could not be found, and the Memorial Tower for the Independence Patriots, Provisional Government Officials, and the spirits of the martyrs.
Lotte Innovate's Head of Management Support, Oh Sil-mook, said, "We were able to spend meaningful time reflecting on the significance of Memorial Day with many employees," and added, "We will continue to engage in meaningful social contributions in the future."
Meanwhile, as part of its social contribution activities, Lotte Innovate is conducting various volunteer services with employee participation every month. These include donations of smart farm-grown plants to the Geumcheon-gu Food Bank, special lectures on Lotte's AI language model 'I-Member' for the underprivileged in Geumcheon-gu, and happiness photo shoots for local seniors, promoting volunteer activities that leverage the company's characteristics and employees' talents.
