KT announced on the 29th that it will fully launch the 'Y-roun Store' project, a win-win initiative to support young small business owners through the MZ target brand 'Y' and the premium table order service 'HiOrder'.
This project was planned to help young small business owners struggling with promotion amid economic recession. KT will deploy the young artist group 'Y Artist' and university student marketing supporters 'Y Futurelist' to produce design props and content tailored to the store concept and provide practical promotional support.
The produced content will be introduced in the Y Box app, used by 1.9 million people, and a store visit certification event will also be held. By taking a store certification shot with 'HiOrder' and posting it on SNS, participants can win a Starbucks Americano coupon through a draw.
The first project involves four young stores in the metropolitan area using HiOrder: △Honidoni Jeongja Branch △Chinese Restaurant Jien (Hyehwa) △Pizza Village Konkuk University Direct Branch △Smoked Firebox Dongtan Main Branch.
These stores will be introduced sequentially through the 'YSPOT' 'Course Recommendation' content in the Y Box app until June. This is a regional outing course reflecting the '0th culture' trend, planned and covered directly by Y Futurelist.
Additionally, Y Futurelist will produce 'This Month's Y Interview' featuring interviews with young owners and release it on the Y Box app and official SNS channels. Y Artist will create artworks reflecting the main menu and concept of the store to be used as posters, taste cards, stamp coupons, etc., and support exterior design for some stores.
Cha Jong-hwan, the representative of Pizza Village Konkuk University Direct Branch, said, “Thanks to the collaboration with KT, we received support for exterior design, and customer response has been positive," adding, "Thanks to HiOrder, operational efficiency has also improved.”
KT plans to expand the collaboration to up to 20 young small business stores within the year.
Kwon Hee-geun, Executive Director of KT's Marketing Innovation Division, said, “This project with Y Artist and Y Futurelist will provide practical help to young small business owners,” adding, “We will continue to support mutual growth.”
