[Financial News] I.L subsidiary Itronics announced on the 29th that it is participating in the '2025 Suwon Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Asia-Pacific Conference' held at Suwon Convention Center until the 30th, showcasing advanced transportation infrastructure and Hi-Pass solutions.
This conference, under the theme 'Hyper-Connected Cities by ITS', is a transportation technology event attended by governments, local governments, experts, and companies from over 30 Asia-Pacific countries. Itronics is introducing key solutions centered on highway toll collection systems and next-generation road technology (C-ITS) at this exhibition.
Main exhibition technologies include △Multi-Lane Free Flow (MLFF) toll collection system △Single-Lane Free Flow (SLFF) Hi-Pass △Parking Lot Free Flow (PLFF) toll collection system △Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology △Next-Generation Intelligent Transportation Systems (C-ITS), etc.
Itronics is the first in Korea to commercialize a 5-lane MLFF system, applied to the East Seoul Tollgate. The PLFF technology, allowing free flow passage in parking lots with Hi-Pass, is also on display, attracting attention. Especially, in addition to the existing antenna communication method DSRC, RFID-based solutions are also being showcased, with both product lineup and technology standardization completed for global market entry.
Itronics successfully conducted the 'C-ITS Communication Technology Demonstration Project' hosted by Korea Expressway Corporation in November last year. It also obtained certification for roadside units (RSU) and on-board units (OBU). The technological capabilities proven in domestic demonstration projects provide a foundation for competitiveness in overseas infrastructure markets. The company expects this to positively impact the global expansion of smart tolling and autonomous driving-based transportation system construction projects.
CEO Yoon Hee-jung said, "This ITS conference is a place to practically connect our technology with domestic and international partners," adding, "Based on our technological capabilities and achievements, we plan to accelerate our entry into the global infrastructure market and aim to dominate the market in the C-ITS, V2X-based autonomous driving infrastructure field."
