Sejong City Hall
[Financial News] Sejong City announced on the 29th that it will recruit tenants and prospective tenants for the 'Sejong-style Share House' from the 2nd to the 27th of next month to ensure housing stability for young people.
The Sejong-style Share House operated by Sejong City has an exclusive area of 17~32㎡ and is equipped with a refrigerator, air conditioner, desk, etc. It is provided at a rent level of 30~50% compared to the market price, significantly reducing the economic burden on young people.
 The rental housing being recruited this time includes △Shinan 1 male 5 households (Jochiwon-eup, Dolgan 1-gil 3) △Seochang male 5 households (Jochiwon-eup, Dolmaru 1-gil 10-5) △Geumam male 5 households (Janggun-myeon, Daehak-gil 198-14), totaling 15 households.
The monthly rent is 50,000~100,000 KRW for the first priority such as the lower-income class, and 70,000~170,000 KRW for the second and third priorities, with a lease contract period of 2 years.
The eligible applicants are young people, college students, and job seekers aged 19~39 who are homeless as of the announcement date, and Sejong City does not impose separate restrictions on residency in Sejong City considering prospective college students who are about to move in.
Applications for residency can be submitted by visiting or sending registered mail to the city's housing department with related documents such as a resident registration certificate, family relationship certificate, and consent form. Sejong City plans to announce the order of residency on August 29 next year after verifying qualifications.
Lee Doo-hee, Director of Urban Housing at Sejong City, said, “The Sejong-style Share House is an important project that supports young people to start their lives in a stable residential environment,” and added, “We hope that this opportunity will partially alleviate the housing cost burden for young people.”
Meanwhile, the Sejong-style Share House started supplying in 2017 with Shinan 1 (17 households, exclusive 18~20㎡) and is currently operating a total of 61 households including Shinan 2 (17 households, 24~31㎡), Seochang (11 households, 23~32㎡), and Geumam (18 households, 17~22㎡).
