Leica announced on the 29th that it has introduced the ZM 1 and ZM 2 models in a new color 'Urban Green' that captures the depth of nature and the sophistication of the city.
This model features a design that combines nature-inspired colors with urban sensibility, embodying Leica's design philosophy and technical perfection.
The unique Fumé Noir dial is characterized by a deep gradient that naturally transitions from green to black, and the minimal harmony of the high-strength aluminum dial and domed sapphire glass stands out. The indexes and hands completed with rhodium plating and diamond cutting are realized through the delicate craftsmanship of German artisans, and the mesh structure Milanese bracelet gently adheres to the wrist.
The unique push crown function of the ZM series is also applied as it is. This is an original feature inspired by the shutter release of Leica cameras, allowing for easy time setting by stopping the movement and resetting the second hand with a single button press.
The ZM 2 model additionally features a GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) function, allowing two time zones to be checked simultaneously, and also provides day/night indication.
According to the company, the Leica ZM 1 and ZM 2 'Urban Green' models are equipped with a hand-winding movement developed by Leica itself, and are completed with a design that is faithful to the original function of the watch while maintaining Leica's unique aesthetic balance.
A Leica representative said, "Leica has established itself as a symbol of innovation, precision technology, and timeless design for over 150 years," adding, "The 'Urban Green' model introduced this time is an iconic timepiece that embodies Leica's philosophy and completeness with functional design and symbolic color."
