[Financial News] Kim Moon-soo, the presidential candidate of the People Power Party, promised on the 29th to "end the era of uncommunicative, malfunctioning dictatorship and open the era of a communicative presidency," pledging to regularize 'Dialogue with the People' quarterly and meet with opposition leaders at least once every two months. He also promised to hold a 'Media Day' once a week to communicate with the press.

Candidate Kim stated in a statement released that morning, "The virtue a president must have when the country is in trouble is communication," and made this clear.

Candidate Kim explained, "British Prime Minister Churchill maintained the morale of the people and protected the country from the terror of Hitler and the Nazis through constant communication with the people," and "U.S. President Roosevelt comforted the people and raised the economy and the country through 'Fireside Chats' during the national turmoil of the Great Depression and war."

Additionally, Candidate Kim said, "Among past presidents of our country, there were cases where they lost public trust due to uncommunicative and malfunctioning governance," adding, "What is more frightening and dangerous than uncommunicative and malfunctioning is dictatorship. This is because it deceives the people with false propaganda, oppresses the opposition with political retaliation, and engages in fear politics."

Candidate Kim emphasized, "I promise to communicate closely with the people to the extent that they say, 'He communicates a lot. He does it well.'"

Furthermore, Candidate Kim stated, "I will regularize genuine 'communication with the people' quarterly, surpassing the formal 'Dialogue with the People' conducted by past presidents," and "I will open various communication channels that the people can comfortably approach."

Candidate Kim said, "I will do my best for active and sincere dialogue with the opposition," and "I will meet with the leaders of both ruling and opposition parties at least once every two months to have in-depth discussions on current issues. Furthermore, I will meet with people from all walks of life, including both ruling and opposition parties, to conduct national dialogues and listen to voices from the field."

In particular, Candidate Kim promised, "I will conduct 'Media Day' once a week to consistently and sincerely listen to the voices of the media," and "I will provide a communication venue with courtesy and respect for various media, including journalists covering the presidential office, newspapers, and broadcasts, to thoroughly guarantee the people's right to know."

Candidate Kim declared, "I will become the president who communicates best, a president who approaches the people with actions, not words, and a president who communicates sincerely to the extent that the people say they are bothered."
