[Financial News] The leadership of the People Power Party is participating in early voting on the 29th in the stronghold regions of the Democratic Party. It seems to be an intention to create a dramatic turnaround by gaining even a few more votes in difficult areas. The early voting held on the 29th and 30th can be done at polling stations nationwide.
Kim Moon-soo, a candidate of the People Power Party, is voting early in Incheon Gyeyang, the constituency of Lee Jae-myung, a candidate of the Democratic Party, on this day. It reveals the intention to unite conservatives and expand the support base by directly entering the opponent's stronghold. The People Power Party's election committee explained that it is an intention to achieve a reversal like the Incheon Landing Operation.
Han Dong-hoon, former representative of the People Power Party, is voting in Gwangju, the 'heart of Honam politics', on this day. Former Representative Han said on his SNS on the 26th, "I will vote in Gwangju on the first day of early voting and see you."
He continued, "Instead of Busan Geumjeong, where we achieved a great victory after the last by-election, I first visited Gokseong, Jeonnam, where we were defeated, and joined colleagues who are doing difficult People Power Party politics in Honam," adding, "I will make People Power Party politics bloom in Honam." His participation in this early voting is interpreted as a move reflecting the intention to draw a line with conspiracy theories of election fraud and directly address the public sentiment in the Honam (Gwangju) region. Former Representative Han plans to vote at the Gwangju Dong-gu Startup Support Center and continue support campaigns in places like Chungjang-ro.
Han Deok-su, former Prime Minister, was the first to cast an early vote. Former Prime Minister Han visited the polling station set up at the Sajik-dong Community Center in Jongno-gu, Seoul, around 6:10 a.m. on this day to participate in the early voting for the 21st presidential election. Jongno-gu is also a place where the Democratic Party won overwhelmingly in both the 19th and 20th presidential elections. Former Prime Minister Han stated on Facebook on the 28th, "With the heart of supporting and cheering for Kim Moon-soo, the People Power Party presidential candidate, I intend to go to the nearest polling station early tomorrow morning." Former Prime Minister Han only gave a short greeting of "Thank you for your hard work" to reporters and left the polling station immediately after voting.
