【Financial News Daegu=Kim Jangwook Reporter】 Lotte Department Store Daegu Branch has renewed and opened the 'Young Culture Hall', accelerating its efforts to target young customers.
Lotte Department Store Daegu Branch (hereafter referred to as Daegu Branch) announced on the 29th that it will newly renew and open the Young Culture Hall on the 2nd floor on the 30th, aiming for a major transformation to attract the footsteps of young customers.
Daegu Branch, benefiting from the opening of the Daegyeong Line last December and the move-in of newly built apartments in the vicinity, saw a double-digit increase in the number of new customers from January to April this year compared to the same period last year.
In particular, the number of young customers in their 20s and 30s has noticeably increased, effectively enjoying the influx of young customers.
In line with these customer trends, Daegu Branch plans to fully revamp the entire 2nd floor into a Young Culture Hall to satisfy the needs of the younger generation, showcasing a trendy shopping space.
Eom Seonwoong, manager of Daegu Branch, said, "With the opening of the Daegyeong Line, the number of young customers visiting Daegu Branch is steadily increasing," adding, "In line with this trend, we will newly open the Young Culture Hall and successively introduce Olive Young, Do Not Disturb, and Apple Frisbee, making it a shopping destination for young customers."
The newly opened Young Culture Hall will feature SPA brand Topten, shoe multi-shop ABC Mart, and youth culture brand Covernat, popular among young people, as new entrants. Existing brands like Kangol and Levi's will also reopen with a new concept.
To commemorate the grand opening of the Young Culture Hall, various discount events will be held from the 30th to June 8th. Topten will offer a 1+1 discount on all items, and ABC Mart will provide a 20% discount for purchasing two items and a 10% discount for purchasing one item.
Various promotional events and activities have also been prepared. During the event period, a discount benefit of 15,000/20,000 won will be provided for purchases of 200,000/300,000 won or more from a single brand, and additional Lotte Department Store mobile gift certificates worth 7-10% of the purchase amount will be given depending on the brand.
Additionally, for purchases totaling 150,000 won or more from 2nd floor brands, presenting the purchase receipt at the 10th floor promotional event hall will provide an 8,000 won discount coupon usable at the 1st floor Coffee Front to the first 100 customers each day.
Meanwhile, Daegu Branch plans to further strengthen its brand lineup in June to make the 1st and 2nd floors a new shopping hub for the MZ generation.
In mid-June, Olive Young, a K-beauty shopping mecca, will newly open on the 2nd floor to complete the Young Culture Hall, and on the 1st floor, the famous bakery tour cafe Do Not Disturb will additionally open.
By the end of June, the Apple Frisbee, an experiential Apple electronics store, is set to open on the 1st floor, positioning itself as a shopping hub for young customers.
