[Financial News]  An anonymous senior in their 90s visited the main building of Kyung Hee University in Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul, and made a large donation, becoming a topic of interest.

On the 28th, Kyung Hee University announced that a senior in their 90s, who requested anonymity, visited the school the previous day and donated 50 million won.

The senior, who is said to reside in Dongdaemun-gu, wrapped bundles of 50,000 won bills in newspaper, placed them in a backpack, and handed them to a staff member.

The senior said, "I didn't have much education, but I want to support current students so they can continue their studies," and expressed hope that "it will help students in difficult circumstances."

Additionally, they mentioned, "If I had more time, I would have gathered more, but due to my age, I am delivering the amount I prepared in advance," and added, "Living in Dongdaemun-gu, I believe that donating to the highest place will ensure the donation is used justly. I hope the donation is used justly."

The senior is neither an alumnus of Kyung Hee University nor has children who attended, yet they made a large donation to the school.

After delivering the donation, the senior reportedly declined photo sessions and the provision of any tokens of appreciation.

A representative from Kyung Hee University stated, "This donation goes beyond simple support and contains a sincere intention to expand educational opportunities," and added, "In accordance with the senior's wishes, the donation will be designated as scholarships for students continuing their studies in challenging environments."
