'Politics' Sector 3rd TV Debate
[Financial News] Kim Moon-soo, the presidential candidate of the People Power Party, questioned Lee Jae-myung, the presidential candidate of the Democratic Party of Korea, on the 27th, "Why do you say to impeach the Chief Justice and conduct a special investigation and hold hearings when the entire Supreme Court panel found a guilty verdict for violating the Public Official Election Act?"
In response, candidate Lee Jae-myung replied, "I did not order the special investigation and impeachment of the Supreme Court justices."
Candidate Kim, at the 'Politics' sector 3rd TV debate organized by the Central Election Management Committee, said, "Where is this lawless National Assembly that impeaches all the Chief Justices, conducts special investigations, and calls everyone to hearings? Is this Democratic Party a Democratic Party or a Dictatorial Party? Does it make sense to increase the number of Supreme Court justices to 30 or 100? Since the Supreme Court's decision is not enough, they want to take it to the Constitutional Court for a fourth trial. Is Lee Jae-myung an emperor?" he criticized.
Then candidate Lee responded, "I instructed to put on hold the attempts to amend the law by individual lawmakers because it was problematic," adding, "I wish you wouldn't speak as if I ordered all of that. If you're asking why I'm on trial, ask the prosecution why they indicted."
