[Financial News] With a week left before the June 3rd presidential election, Lee Jun-seok, the presidential candidate of the Gaehyeok Shindang, proposed an additional debate to Lee Jae-myung, the candidate of the Democratic Party, during the last TV debate. Candidate Lee avoided an immediate answer, saying, "I will think about it slowly."

On the 27th, at the third debate for the 21st presidential election held at the MBC studio in Sangam, Seoul, candidate Lee Jun-seok once again mentioned 'Hotel Economics' to press candidate Lee Jae-myung.

Candidate Lee Jun-seok criticized, saying, "In the last debate, candidate Lee Jae-myung mentioned Lucas Jaize, who served as the editor-in-chief of the German Communist Party's official newspaper, in relation to 'Hotel Economics'. I don't understand if he knows this from reading such publications or through what route he encountered such ideas."

He continued, questioning whether Lee was trying to teach communist philosophy to defend 'Hotel Economics', saying, "I want to ask how you came to know such ideas and if you are willing to explain and apologize for any mistakes."

In response, candidate Lee Jae-myung replied, "I hope you don't engage in witch-hunting like red-baiting," and added, "That example is also found in the Bank of Korea's booklet. I'm not interested in what kind of ideas Lucas Jaize had."

However, candidate Lee Jun-seok countered, "After asking if you know Lucas Jaize, you now say not to engage in red-baiting," and added, "If you continue to debate in this evasive manner, the public cannot conduct proper scrutiny." He also proposed to candidate Lee Jae-myung, "Let's have an additional debate at a place of your choosing, even if it's Kim Eo-jun's 'News Factory'."
