'Politics' Sector 3rd TV Debate
On the afternoon of the 27th, before the start of the 3rd candidate debate for the 21st presidential election hosted by the Central Election Broadcasting Debate Committee at the MBC studio in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, candidates from each party are taking a commemorative photo. [Financial News] Lee Jun-seok, the presidential candidate of the Reform New Party, targeted Lee Jae-myung, the presidential candidate of the Democratic Party of Korea, on the 27th, saying, "He has been buying only fruits worth 27.91 million won with a corporate card from 2019 to October 2022 and is on trial for private misuse," to which candidate Lee Jae-myung responded, "How would I know that? That's exactly what a bogus indictment is," he countered.
Candidate Lee Jun-seok said at the 'Politics' sector 3rd TV debate hosted by the Central Election Management Committee on this day, "I understand that candidate Lee Jae-myung had a trial preparation date even on the day of the debate. Looking at the indictment regarding the private misuse of the corporate card, there was an interesting point," adding, "They ask if it's because of 100,000 won, but that's about the Public Official Election Act, and the current corporate card content is different in the trial matter," he said.
Candidate Lee Jun-seok said, "You bought fruits 259 times, consuming 27.91 million won worth," adding, "If the average price of fruit is 10,000 won per kg, then if you consumed 28 million won worth of fruit over two years, that's 2.8 tons. Are you raising an elephant at home?" he questioned.
In response, candidate Lee Jae-myung said, "That's why it's bogus. I never used it, nor have I seen it used," adding, "The working department said they traded fruits, how would I know that?" he said.
Candidate Lee said, "In that case, they indicted me as if I had instructed it, but there is no evidence for that," emphasizing, "That's why it's a bogus fabricated indictment," he stressed.
