[Financial News] At the presidential candidate TV debate (political field) hosted by the National Election Commission, Lee Jun-seok, the Reform Party candidate, attacked by bringing up past controversies of Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party candidate.

Candidate Lee Jun-seok, at the political TV debate held at the MBC studio in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul on the 27th, asked candidate Lee Jae-myung to apologize for the so-called 'sister-in-law profanity' controversy.

Candidate Lee Jun-seok said, "Recently, things that are incomprehensible among candidate Lee Jae-myung's remarks keep surfacing," adding, "He used to say many interesting things on Twitter, etc."

He continued, "There is a history of directly criticizing and attacking citizens with different thoughts," and "Because such remarks as 'Go to the bathroom and put your head in the toilet', 'This person seems to have epilepsy, send them to a mental hospital' come from political leaders, the threshold for ordinary citizens has become very low," he pointed out.

Candidate Lee Jun-seok also said, "In April this year, a violence incident occurred at a high school. The perpetrator told the victim, 'How would I tear your mother's important part?' and said, "To speak coldly, who made this statement? Isn't it following Lee Jae-myung's profanity?" he pointed out.

He continued, "Do you intend to apologize here today, and what measures do you have regarding the escalation of such language?" he asked.

In response, candidate Lee Jae-myung said, "I have repeatedly apologized for my shortcomings and will apologize again," adding, "That was not my statement, but my brother's to my mother, and I expressed it somewhat excessively," he explained.

Meanwhile, candidate Lee Jae-myung, during his time as mayor of Seongnam in November 2012, once wrote on his SNS account, "Please go to the bathroom and put your head in the toilet."

It was a response to a post that said, "Nauseating self-praise following Seongnam's moratorium and the establishment of a financial welfare counseling center, credit recovery for over-indebted individuals?"

Another user criticized this post, to which candidate Lee responded, "I was told 'Seongnam is nauseating', so I informed them that it's better to vomit in the toilet to prevent others from being affected."
