3rd TV Debate in Politics
[Financial News] Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party presidential candidate, said on the 27th, "I was in a position to create a law to prevent satellite parties, but I want to make it effective," while Kim Moon-soo, the People Power Party candidate, stated, "We need to fix the current proportional representation system."
Candidate Lee and Candidate Kim responded to questions about solutions to political polarization at the 3rd TV debate in the 'politics' field hosted by the National Election Commission.
Candidate Lee, regarding the law to prevent satellite parties, said, "It's a political rule, so we need to agree with the People Power Party, but it was difficult to get cooperation."
In response, Candidate Kim emphasized, "I originally opposed the election law of the proportional representation system that led to the birth of satellite parties," adding, "The entire election law is wrong, so I will fix the election law to correct not only satellite parties but also the proportional representation system that neither the people nor the lawmakers who made the law understand."
Lee Jun-seok, the Reform Party presidential candidate, said, "Only the Reform Party did not create satellite parties," adding, "In terms of political polarization, the heightened rhetoric of both forces has also increased."
