[Financial News] The People's Power has decided to specify the separation of the party and the president and the principle of prohibiting factions in the party constitution and regulations in the name of normalizing party-government relations. The People's Power Emergency Response Committee has decided to convene the Standing National Committee and the National Committee to amend the party constitution and regulations. This is a follow-up measure to Kim Moon-soo's presidential candidate's declaration on the 25th that "a system will be created to completely block the president's involvement in party affairs."

Kim Yong-tae, chairman of the People's Power Emergency Committee, met with reporters after the emergency committee meeting on the 27th and announced, "We have approved the amendment to the party constitution and regulations today."

The People's Power has decided to establish a clause in the party constitution and regulations that "prohibits the president's involvement in major party affairs such as internal elections, nominations, and personnel," and that "acts that undermine party democracy and the autonomy and free competition of party members by having a specific person, including the president, or a specific force as the center will not be allowed."

To finalize the amendment to the party constitution and regulations, the approval process of the Standing National Committee and the National Committee must be passed. The People's Power plans to hold the Standing National Committee on the 28th and the National Committee on the 31st to approve the amendment.

Chairman Kim said about the amendment, "It has a symbolic meaning of returning the No. 1 party member to the party members and the public," and explained, "It contains the will to reform the party."

The People's Power Emergency Committee also resolved the formation of the 'Turtle Island Corruption Investigation Special Committee.' Chairman Kim said, "Candidate Lee boasted that the way to make a living was opened with Wave Park, but Turtle Island was a 'paradise for real estate scammers,'" and raised suspicions that "the selling price hit the highest point and plummeted, with a 12-pyeong store on the first floor dropping from 1 billion won to less than 200 million won."

Representative Kim Eun-hye will serve as the chairman of the special committee, and Representatives Kwak Kyu-taek, Joo Jin-woo, Jo Ji-yeon, Park Jun-tae, Park Chung-kwon, and Jeong Pil-jae, the party chairman of Gyeonggi Siheung Gap, and Kim Yoon-sik, the party chairman of Gyeonggi Siheung Eul, have been appointed as members.

Meanwhile, Chairman Kim dismissed the unification with Lee Jun-seok, the candidate for the Reform New Party, as "unclear." Chairman Kim said, "I respect the meaning of the position announced through (Candidate Lee Jun-seok's) press conference," and argued, "Candidate Kim should expand the middle ground, and Candidate Lee Jun-seok should induce the expansion of progressive supporters to block the Lee Jae-myung regime."
