Fanfare of Busan Port Festival on the 30th... 'K-pop Feast' Throughout the Event

Busan Port Authority (BPA) announced on the 27th that the '18th Busan Port Festival' will be held on the 30th and 31st for two days at the outdoor parking lot of the Busan Port International Passenger Terminal, Bukhang Waterfront Park, and the area around the Yeongdo National Maritime Museum in collaboration with Busan City and Busan Regional Office of Oceans and Fisheries to mark the 30th Sea Day.

This year's festival has expanded in scale compared to previous years by newly adding Korean Wave cultural content such as the K-pop concert linked with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's 'MyK FESTA'.

On the first day of the festival, the 30th, from 10 a.m., a K-pop expo showcasing the latest technology applied to K-pop by entertainment companies will be held at the outdoor parking lot of the International Passenger Terminal. At the Wyndham Grand Busan Hotel, a K-pop conference inviting domestic and international K-pop-related industry officials will discuss the future prospects of artificial intelligence (AI) and the music industry.

The concert starting at 7 p.m. on the same day will feature performances by Super Junior-D&E, CNBLUE, N.Flying, ITZY, Kyungseo, Dori, and Jo Jjaeze, heating up the stage. Following this, the highlight of the opening event, the Busan Port Fireworks Show, will begin at 9:30 p.m.

The next day, the 31st, at Bukhang Waterfront Park, 'K-pop Cover Dance' featuring artists from around the world, 'Port Play' with various genres of busking performances, and 'Global Port Park' introducing and experiencing diverse cultural content from around the world will take place.

In addition, various cultural and recreational side events such as the Sea Love Children's Writing and Drawing Contest, Busan Port Tour, Large Ship Open Event, and Marine Mission Stamp Tour will be operated at various event locations.
