Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) is partnering with the National Land Safety Management Institute (KALIS) to develop a 'Construction Accident Prediction AI' that can predict and prepare for construction accidents in advance.

According to LH on the 27th, the Construction Accident Prediction AI is a technology that analyzes risk factors for each construction site based on past construction accident history. It helps establish a preemptive inspection and safety management system to prevent construction accidents.

To this end, LH signed a business agreement with the National Land Safety Management Institute at the Disaster Safety Situation Room on the 7th floor of LH headquarters in Jinju on this day. The signing ceremony was attended by Lee Sangjo, LH Smart Construction Safety Headquarters Director, and Kim Taehyung, KALIS Disaster Safety Headquarters Director. The two organizations plan to cooperate in △analyzing domestic construction accident data △analyzing risk factors at construction sites △spreading preemptive inspection and prevention activities based on data to the private sector △developing construction accident prediction technology using generative AI. LH plans to select a construction accident prediction AI model within the year with the National Land Safety Management Institute, induce AI learning using major construction site test beds, and pursue technology advancement. After completing development by 2026, it will be distributed to the private sector.
