[Financial News] Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party's presidential candidate, said on the 27th regarding Lee Jun-seok, the Reform Party's presidential candidate's determination to complete the race, "I welcome the courageous decision of true conservatives."

Candidate Lee stated through social networking services (SNS) that afternoon, "Today's declaration is not about supporting me, Lee Jae-myung, as an individual, nor is it a place to prove each other's political philosophy, but an expression of the noble will to uphold our constitutional spirit."

Candidate Lee said, "The sovereign people stepped forward to prevent martial law, rose up during the IMF national crisis, and the image of the late President Kim Dae-jung and Kim Jong-pil, Park Tae-joon holding hands united the hearts of our people," adding, "History reveals who the true patriots are in the face of the darkness and crisis of the times."

He further promised, "To properly protect, we must change and reform, and that is true conservatism," pledging, "I and the Democratic Party will play the role of a rational conservative party that transcends ideology and overcomes political differences, embracing more broadly."
