[Financial News] Lee Nak-yeon, senior advisor of the New Future Democratic Party, declared support for Kim Moon-soo, the presidential candidate of the People Power Party, on the 27th, establishing a pillar of the anti-Myung (Lee Jae-myung) big tent.
Advisor Lee, who defined the election of Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party's presidential candidate, as the emergence of a 'monster dictatorship state', agreed to cooperate in forming a 'joint government' for national integration and promoting a constitutional amendment for the launch of the '7th Republic' after a '3-year presidential term'.
Despite Lee Jae-myung holding the top spot in major polls ahead of the publication ban, the official participation of Advisor Lee in the anti-Myung big tent has set conditions for re-highlighting Lee Jae-myung's potential for dictatorship and judicial risks, analysts say.
Amid such evaluations, the internal sentiment of the pro-Moon Jae-in faction, which has been in conflict with the pro-Myung faction while remaining silent, is becoming complicated.
For now, 'Forum Saejae', a group of officials from the Moon Jae-in administration, decided to expel former advisor Lee Nak-yeon from the forum, showing a strong stance.

■Lee Nak-yeon joins anti-Myung big tent.. Reconfirmation of Lee Jae-myung's judicial risk

Advisor Lee held an emergency press conference at the party headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul, stating, "We have agreed in principle to cooperate with People Power Party candidate Kim Moon-soo to prevent the emergence of a monster dictatorship state and prepare for a new hope, the 7th Republic," and declared support for candidate Kim.
In addition to forming a joint government upon taking power, Advisor Lee agreed with candidate Kim on implementing a 3-year presidential term for simultaneous presidential and general elections in 2028, and cooperating on constitutional amendments for the launch of the 7th Republic, emphasizing, "It is a clear fact that candidate Kim is the most suitable candidate to prevent the emergence of a monster dictatorship state."
Although he stated that his declaration of support for candidate Kim was not a 'party-to-party' coalition or merger, nor joining the People Power Party, the declaration itself made it clear that they would work together.
Advisor Lee's participation in the anti-Myung big tent, having served as the Democratic Party chairman and Prime Minister under the Moon Jae-in administration, is analyzed to have a significant effect in reconfirming the 'judicial risk' and potential 'dictatorship' of candidate Lee Jae-myung.
The judicial risk identified by Advisor Lee, a prominent presidential candidate during the Moon Jae-in administration, during the competition with candidate Lee Jae-myung in the last presidential primary, has been mentioned among the pro-Moon faction as well as Democratic Party supporters.
Advisor Lee criticized the Democratic Party, stating, "I have repeatedly expressed my expectation that the Democratic Party would nominate another candidate without criminal charges (other than candidate Lee Jae-myung) and cooperate if they did so," adding, "However, the Democratic Party rejected such a natural order."
Advisor Lee pointed out that if the Democratic Party, with its large majority, takes control of the legislative, executive, and judicial branches under candidate Lee Jae-myung's administration, the potential for dictatorship could increase, warning that the process of dispelling ongoing trial controversies after candidate Lee's election could lead to the destruction of the rule of law and democracy.
■Pro-Moon faction debates fiercely.. Likely to have repercussions

Following Advisor Lee's declaration of support for candidate Kim Moon-soo, the Democratic Party's central election committee and other Democratic Party figures harshly criticized Advisor Lee.
However, the New Future Democratic Party countered, "Lee Jae-myung's Democratic Party is not normal by common sense," actively rebutting, revealing the complex internal sentiment of the pro-Moon faction.
The pro-Moon faction, which had avoided mentioning candidate Lee Jae-myung in the overwhelming Lee Jae-myung dominance structure, is now in a difficult position as Advisor Lee, who was outside the Democratic Party, joins the anti-Myung big tent and intensifies the offensive.
Kim Kyung-soo, the chief election strategy officer of the Democratic Party's election committee and a key figure in the pro-Moon faction, criticized, "It feels like watching the futile downfall of a politician who went through difficult times together," adding, "The result of an obstinacy that believes only one's own thoughts are right and others' thoughts are all wrong."
Despite the criticism of Advisor Lee, with expressions like "politician Lee Nak-yeon is finished" emerging, the New Future Democratic Party countered, "We want to ask if they are not ashamed of the flattery and sycophancy to please candidate Lee Jae-myung, who attempts to crush even the separation of powers without any sense of guilt or awareness of the problem."
Jeon Byung-heon, the representative of the New Future Democratic Party and former chief political secretary at the Blue House during the Moon Jae-in administration, stated in a position paper, "I don't know if Representative Yoon Gun-young is genuinely criticizing Prime Minister Lee Nak-yeon and the New Future Democratic Party using former President Moon Jae-in's name, or if it's an opportunity to flatter and sycophant candidate Lee Jae-myung," adding, "I hope that those who claim to be pro-Moon lawmakers do not lose even the smallest conscience to provide minimal advice and warnings that match common sense in the face of the party's rampant rampage. That is also not to tarnish the pride of former President Moon Jae-in."
