[Financial News] With a nationwide city bus strike scheduled for tomorrow (28th), Korea Railroad Corporation (KORAIL) announced on the 27th that it will operate 32 additional electric train services during the strike.
The temporary electric trains will be additionally operated on 9 lines: Gyeongbu Line, Gyeongin Line, Gyeongwon Line, Ilsan Line, Suin-Bundang Line, Gyeongui-Jungang Line, Gyeongchun Line, Gyeonggang Line, and Donghae Line.
The additional operations include 14 services during morning rush hours, 10 during evening rush hours, and 8 during late night hours, totaling 32 services. To enhance passenger convenience and distribution, the rush hour congestion period will be extended by 1 hour to increase train deployment, and the last train will also be extended until 2 AM the next day to support late night travel.
Additionally, to alleviate congestion during peak times such as commuting hours, 1,412 dedicated staff will be deployed at 44 major stations to strengthen customer guidance.
