[Financial News] The boy group OMEGA X, cleared of tampering allegations, is set to make a spectacular rise.
OMEGA X has been embroiled in legal disputes over tampering allegations raised by their former agency for over a year, earning a negative image as 'unlucky idols.' However, they have cleared various allegations and are standing at a new starting line.
On the 27th, the agency IPQ stated, “The members fought against injustice despite their fears, and never gave up to keep their promises to fans,” adding, “Their narrative will remain as a self-reliant and courageous growth story in K-pop history.” They emphasized, “Now, they will continue their new path as artists who protect their dreams independently, overcoming adversity.”
Previously, the former agency of OMEGA X suggested legal action in August 2023, claiming that IPQ had made prior contact (tampering) with the members. However, the Seoul Central District Court ruled on October 11, 2024, that “there is insufficient evidence to acknowledge it as tampering, and there is no other evidence to support it.” Additionally, regarding the 'forced transaction' allegations filed by the former agency against IPQ with the Fair Trade Commission, a “no charges” decision was made on the 2nd.
Furthermore, regarding the investigation results of sexual crime allegations raised by OMEGA X members, the Seoul Hyehwa Police Station reported on the 15th that A, the spouse of the former agency's director and representative, was sent to the prosecution with an indictment opinion for 'indecent assault by abuse of authority.' The agency stated, “This corresponds to a violation of the 'Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment of Sexual Crimes,' and the investigative agency recognized the victim's claims.”
