[Financial News] Lee Jae-myung, the presidential candidate of the Democratic Party of Korea, announced on the 27th, "I will create a country where all citizens enjoy sports and a healthy life in their daily lives."

Candidate Lee stated on social networking services (SNS) this afternoon, "In the 2024 Paris Olympics, the dedication and sweat of the Korean national team athletes brought great emotion to the people. Now, it is time for that emotion to permeate beyond the stadiums into our daily lives, allowing everyone to easily enjoy sports and have the right to live healthily," he wrote.

Candidate Lee's sports activation pledge includes △expansion of national sports centers and expansion of life sports programs △support for customized sports activities from infants to the elderly, including tax benefits for office workers' exercise fees △continuous expansion of sports centers for the disabled △establishment of a mutual aid association for athletes and preparation of re-education programs for athletes △improving perception through establishing a mid- to long-term development roadmap for e-sports.

Candidate Lee said, "Sports are the beginning of a healthy life and the power that connects everyone as one," and added, "The state will firmly support so that everyone can easily enjoy sports and have the right to live healthily."
