Conducting Field-Type Practical Training for Complex Disaster Situations

[Financial News] Ham Jin-gyu, President of Korea Expressway Corporation, announced on the 27th that he presided over the Disaster Response Safety Korea Training held on the 26th at the Saemangeum-Pohang Expressway 12.5k (Jangsu direction).
The training involved 26 organizations, including Korea Expressway Corporation, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, Wanju County, fire departments, police, and medical institutions. A field-type practical training was conducted to prepare for complex disaster situations, such as road slope collapse due to heavy rain, vehicle burial, chain collisions, and hazardous chemical spills.
President Ham instructed the prioritization of customer and employee safety and rapid recovery during the training situation. After the training, he encouraged the participants.
In particular, he emphasized the need to always prepare for the possibility of various and new types of risks, as we face new types of disasters that differ from the past due to the rapid advancement of climate change and socio-technical environments.
President Ham stated, "The key to disaster response is securing the golden time through rapid initial response and inter-agency collaboration," and "We will continuously improve the safety system by addressing the issues identified through this training experience."
