[Financial News] As the 'Stargate Project' led by OpenAI and SoftBank in the United States is progressing smoothly, the selection of beneficiary stocks based on the influence of participating companies is becoming more pronounced.
As of 2:37 PM on the 27th, Kochip is trading at 12.36% higher at 12,180 won compared to the previous trading day.
According to foreign media on this day, Oracle is known to have signed a contract to purchase NVIDIA chips worth 40 billion dollars (about 54 trillion won). Oracle is understood to have purchased about 400,000 of NVIDIA's latest graphics processing units (GPUs) 'GB200' and plans to lease them to OpenAI.
Kochip supplies multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCC) to Oracle and has been classified as a related stock since Oracle's participation in the Stargate Project.
Meanwhile, Stargate is a joint venture established by OpenAI, the developer of ChatGPT, Japanese SoftBank, and American software company Oracle, with an investment of 500 billion dollars (about 700 trillion won) to build AI data centers across the United States.
