SOOP announced on the 27th that it will exclusively live broadcast the virtual idol project 'V-REAL' by the virtual content specialist company 'Duriban'.
'V-REAL' is a tournament-style project where virtual streamers debut as a 5-member virtual idol group through professional K-POP training. SOOP plans to showcase the journey to debut, including member selection, skill enhancement training, collaboration with K-POP artists, and audience-participation showcases. The final selected members will collaborate with top domestic artists to intensively enhance their overall capabilities as idols, including vocals, dance, and stage performance.
Additionally, they will receive support from the latest technology infrastructure such as virtual live solutions, AR studios, motion capture, and virtual production, and will be active as a project group for one year. In September, a theater immersive showcase composed of special videos will be held at the premium special hall ScreenX (SCREENX) expanded to the left and right screens of CGV theaters nationwide, and in October, an offline virtual festival stage is also planned.
The program MCs include 'Kim Hee-chul', a member of Super Junior and broadcaster celebrating his 20th debut anniversary this year, 'Yerin', a member of the girl group GFriend, and SOOP's popular streamer 'Bibeo'. Additionally, top trainers in each field, such as producer 'Geonwoo' and dancer 'May J Lee', will join to help the participants grow. As a result, attention is focused on whether 'V-REAL' will gain popularity as the 'Second Lee Sedol (Isegye Idol)'.
'V-REAL' will be revealed through various live broadcasts and content starting from its first broadcast on the 13th until September. The recruitment of participants will be conducted until the 30th of this month, and the company said that any virtual streamer with talent in singing and dancing can apply.
