According to Jeonbuk-do on the 27th, the 'Basic Plan for Promoting the Marine Leisure Tourism Industry' has been completed, and strategies are being established for developing tourist-stay content and differentiated marine tourism.

The creation of the 'Marine Leisure Experience Complex' on Gunsan Munyeodo, which will include Ocean Terrace, camping sites, etc., is accelerating with the goal of opening in October.

A marine tourism theme park, including large accommodation facilities, is being built on Gochang Myeongsashimni Beach, and a marine exploration trail is being laid between Buan Gyeokpo Port and Gung Port.

Buan Gung Port Marina Port Development (99.5 billion won scale) is underway with private investment.

The Gimje National Marine Life Science Museum construction project is also aiming to be selected as a preliminary feasibility study project this year.

In addition, to enable cruise tourism at the new Saemangeum Port, scheduled to open in 2026, a TF with 8 related organizations is being formed to undertake research services.

A Jeonbuk-do official said, "We will make the high value-added marine leisure tourism industry a new growth engine in the Jeonbuk marine and fisheries sector."
