Hong Jun-pyo Opens Board for Presidential Candidates on 'Youth's Dream'
[Financial News] After being eliminated from the People's Power presidential primary, declaring political retirement and withdrawal, and staying in Hawaii, USA, former Daegu Mayor Hong Jun-pyo has declared his support for Lee Jun-seok, the presidential candidate of the Reform New Party. Meanwhile, candidate Lee has drawn attention by leaving a post on Hong's communication platform 'Youth's Dream'.
On the 27th, candidate Lee posted an article titled 'Hello, this is Lee Jun-seok' on Hong's communication platform 'Youth's Dream'.
Candidate Lee said, "I heard that a Q&A board has been created here on 'Youth's Dream', so I came to mark my attendance," he began.
He continued, "I have been lurking on this platform created by Representative Hong Jun-pyo for quite some time," adding, "Now, I hope it becomes a place for mutual communication where I answer your questions and you answer mine."
He added, "Although it's election season and I spend my days holding a microphone and my nights commenting, I will visit here whenever I have time to share sincere stories."
'Youth's Dream' is a communication platform of former Mayor Hong, through which he communicates with his supporters.
Candidate Lee asked, "So, the first question I want to ask today is, 'In this presidential election, what do you think is the most important factor for the future-oriented young generation? And what topics do you think should definitely be discussed in today's TV debate?'"
He continued, "Your thoughts are a great help to me," adding, "Feel free to leave your comments. I hope it becomes an opportunity for politics to become closer."
He concluded, "I look forward to seeing you often in the future," and "Thank you."
Meanwhile, former Mayor Hong declared his support on the 25th through 'Youth's Dream', saying, "A vote for Lee Jun-seok is not a wasted vote but an investment in the future."
In response, candidate Lee said, "I thank former Mayor Hong for explicitly expressing his support," adding, "I will incorporate the politics that former Mayor Hong wanted to realize into my own politics."
He added, "(Former Mayor Hong) sent me several pieces of advice via KakaoTalk this morning," and "He said the same thing about it being an investment in the future, and that 'breaking the vested interests of the two major parties is what the people expect, and that's why they vote for Lee Jun-seok.'"
