[Financial News] 'Relaxing Hangang Triathlon Festival' will raise its second curtain at Ttukseom Hangang Park on the 30th. In addition to a sports event where you can complete swimming, cycling, and running at your own pace, various attractions linked to the Hangang are prepared.
Seoul City announced on the 27th that the '2nd Relaxing Hangang Triathlon Festival' will be held for 3 days from the 30th to the 1st of next month.
A 'Triathlon' where you complete swimming, cycling, and running at 'your own speed and style' without ranking or record competition will be held. The triathlon, the festival's main program, is divided into beginner courses (15km) and advanced courses (31km) over 3 days. Participants can choose the course considering their fitness level within 3 days and complete it at their own pace and style.
This year, △Hangang wetsuit rental service △2600 rental bikes △additional changing rooms and showers have been greatly expanded compared to last year, and a separate information booth for foreign participants will also be operated.
On the day of the event, you can participate by presenting your ID at the registration booth and receiving a confirmation bracelet, and citizens who could not register in advance can receive guidance at the on-site information center and participate. However, if there are more applicants than the limit, additional registration on-site may be difficult.
This year's 'Relaxing Hangang Triathlon Festival' will feature FC Seoul soccer player Jesse Lingard, Seoul City ambassador actress Park Jin-hee, and running coach YouTuber 'Jini Coach' participating in the opening ceremony, triathlon, and experience programs with citizens.
Lingard will participate in the running event with Mayor Oh Se-hoon on June 1st.
Even if you do not participate in the event, you can enjoy a variety of 'FUN experience programs' with family, lovers, and friends around Ttukseom Hangang Park.
The 'Hangang Plunge Zone', which offers a unique opportunity to dive into the Hangang, which is usually difficult to enter, will feature △8m high giant water slide 'Hangang99 Pangpang' (pre-registration required) △Hangang jump life shot △crossing slippery pillars △water wrestling △water sports experiences.
The 'Relaxing Hangang Sports Day' will newly operate this year with △'Various Championships' (special competitions doing various things) with national athletes in short track and taekwondo △'Relaxing Danoje' for Dano festival △'Hallyu Survival Game' linked with K-drama content, and will also expand the 'Seoul Citizen Fitness Center', which received high response from citizens last year.
As a comprehensive health and sports festival, △'Health Solsol Information Zone' where you can measure your health status and receive customized prescriptions △cultural arts △sports performances and various side programs are also prepared.
The city plans to operate a food truck food zone for the convenience of citizens visiting the venue and focus on promoting local businesses and delivery apps to revitalize the local economy.
In addition, prioritizing the safety of festival participants, the city plans to deploy more than 1000 safety personnel daily on land and water throughout the venue and conduct systematic safety management through the operation of medical booths and cooperation with local fire and police stations.
Furthermore, as a large crowd, including participants, is expected to gather during the festival period, the city requested visitors to Ttukseom Hangang Park to use public transportation. It is convenient to use exits 2 and 3 of Jayang Station (Ttukseom Resort) on Subway Line 7 to find the venue.
Joo Jong-won, Director of Seoul City Tourism and Sports Bureau, said, "Through the Relaxing Hangang Triathlon Festival, 'Hangang' has become a space for citizens to throw themselves and enjoy beyond rest," and "I hope you will play, rest, and enjoy at this 'Relaxing Hangang Triathlon Festival', which is armed with more diverse and abundant programs, and leave new memories at Hangang."
