[Financial News] Saemyeong Electric switched to an upward trend during the day. It is interpreted that expectations for benefits are emerging as Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) announced that it would invest 72 trillion 800 billion won to supply 10GW of power to the Yongin Semiconductor Cluster.
As of 1:27 PM on the 27th, Saemyeong Electric is trading at 7,220 won, up 4.03% from the previous trading day.
According to related industries, facilities to supply large-scale power to the Yongin Semiconductor Cluster industrial complex will be reinforced by 2038. KEPCO announced on this day that the '11th Long-Term Transmission and Transformation Facility Plan' containing such content was confirmed at the recent Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy Electric Committee.
KEPCO predicted that a total investment of 72 trillion 800 billion won would be needed by 2038 to implement this plan. This is an increase of about 16 trillion 300 billion won (28.8%) compared to the 56 trillion 500 billion won investment in the 10th plan announced two years ago.
KEPCO stated, "The cost has increased due to the rise in material costs caused by the Russia-Ukraine war, and the increase in underground transmission lines," and "The effect of this facility plan on the national economy is expected to be approximately 134 trillion won in production ripple effects and about 480,000 jobs induced."
Saemyeong Electric is responsible for everything from the development and design to the production of hardware for transmission, distribution, and transformation lines, raising expectations for benefits. The 500kV HVDC transmission line hardware developed by Saemyeong Electric has attracted attention as it was specified for the Seoul-metropolitan area to East Coast 230km transmission project, a national key power infrastructure project promoted by KEPCO.
