[Financial News] Kim Ki-moon, President of the Korea Federation of SMEs, announced on the 27th that he received an appreciation plaque from the Low Birthrate and Aging Society Committee for his efforts in spreading the work-family balance culture in SMEs.
The Korea Federation of SMEs launched the 'SME Work-Family Balance Committee' last November with the participation of 19 SME associations and organizations, and has been promoting activities to create a work-family balance environment, such as a relay campaign in the industry to overcome low birthrate and discovering best practices.
In particular, to alleviate the burden on SMEs for work-family balance, they proposed to the government to support replacement workers for SMEs, support colleagues sharing work, and defer regular tax audits, which were reflected in policies.
Kim Ki-moon said, "We succeeded in reversing the birthrate after 9 years, and I hope the government and SMEs will work together to solve the low birthrate issue," and added, "We will continue to gather opinions from the SME field to create work-family balance policies that fit reality."
