[Financial News] The Korea International Trade Association (KITA) announced that it held the '2025 KITA Global E-commerce Summit' at COEX in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul on the 27th.
This event was combined with the '2025 Global E-commerce Conference', which introduces strategies for utilizing global e-commerce platforms, and the '2025 Trade Korea Matching Day', a consultation meeting inviting excellent buyers from KITA, with about 500 companies participating.
Representatives from major global e-commerce platforms such as Amazon, Alibaba, Global Sources, Shopee, and Kompass participated and gave presentations on the theme of 'New Business Trends Utilizing AI-based E-commerce', followed by individual consultations with participating companies.
At the Trade Korea Matching Day, 47 companies from 27 countries participated and held a total of 264 consultations with 224 domestic companies. There was also a time to share successful matching cases of the three buyers selected as the Best Buyer of the Year.
Lee In-ho, Vice Chairman of KITA, said, "The introduction of AI is now a necessity, not an option, and how quickly and effectively AI is utilized in the e-commerce sector will be a key factor determining the success or failure of companies," adding, "If our companies actively utilize AI, they are expected to strengthen their export competitiveness and enter overseas markets more easily and efficiently."
