[Financial News] Among provincial cities last year, Cheongju, Chungbuk was found to have the highest apartment transaction volume.
According to the Korea Real Estate Agency on the 27th, a total of 11,837 apartments were traded in Cheongju in 2024, ranking first excluding the five major metropolitan cities. It was followed by Changwon (10,043 transactions), Jeonju (10,392 transactions), and Cheonan (10,348 households).
Real transaction prices are also on the rise. The 'Shinyoung Jiwel City Phase 1', considered a flagship apartment in Cheongju, was actually traded for 1.5 billion won in December last year for a 152㎡ unit. This was the highest transaction price in the Chungbuk region last year. This year, the same complex is also recording the highest transaction price with a change of hands at 1.95 billion won.
Meanwhile, in Cheongju, the first complex of the landmark residential town 'Sinbunpyeong Urban Development Project', 'Sinbunpyeong The Way City Jeilpunggyeongchae', is scheduled to be sold next month.
The Sinbunpyeong Urban Development Project, promoted by developer HMG Group, is a super-large residential town with a total of 3 blocks and 3,949 households. Among them, Block 1 (1,448 households) Sinbunpyeong The Way City Jeilpunggyeongchae is the target of this sale. This complex consists of 12 buildings with 2 basement floors to 29 above-ground floors, ranging from 59 to 112㎡.
Meanwhile, several housing complex projects are underway in the Sinbunpyeong Urban Development Project area. It is expected to be developed into a large-scale new residential belt with approximately 37,000 households in the future.
