The Largest Marine Culture Festival in the Capital Region 'Hwaseong Boat Festival' Opens on the 30th

【Financial News Hwaseong=Jang Chung-sik Reporter】Gyeonggi-do Hwaseong City announced on the 27th that the 'Hwaseong Boat Festival' will be held from the 30th to June 1st at Jeongok Port. 
This year marks the 15th 'Hwaseong Boat Festival', the largest marine culture festival in the capital region, where you can enjoy various marine contents such as marine leisure equipment boarding experience, mudflat experience, and cultural and artistic performances all in one place.
On the first day of the festival, the 30th, hip-hop group Dynamic Duo and trot singer Jang Min-ho, along with the band Mongdol, will perform.
Additionally, a variety of yacht and boat boarding experiences, including sailing yachts, powerboats, luxury yachts, and cruises, as well as sea fishing at the nearby Ipado fishing ground, are prepared so that everyone can feel the charm of the West Sea.
Especially this year, a total of 59 ships, 13 more than last year, will be deployed for the boarding experience, and the number of participants in the sea experience is expected to exceed 20,000.
During the festival period, 'The Voyage of the Pungnyudan' will be held three times a day for three days, a total of nine times.
Starting with a sea flyboard performance, a military band, and a parade with citizens will fill the Jeongok Port area with the heat of the festival.
Also, the 'Cheonhae Cruise Group', which gained great popularity last year, will operate throughout the festival.
'The Cheonhae Cruise Group' is a circular experience content linked with yachts and the Jebudo sea cable car, allowing participants to board yachts and cable cars to enjoy the beautiful sunset and night view of the West Coast.
On the second day, the 31st, at 7 PM, a 'Latin DJ Dance Festival' will be held for the audience to enjoy together, and at 8:30 PM, a spectacular 7-minute fireworks display will be prepared at the Jeongok Port sea breakwater. 
On the last day, various cultural performances will be prepared, including a dance festival participated by Hwaseong City art groups and the Hwaseong Music Festival where citizens and trot singers come together, making the festival even more abundant.
Mayor Jeong Myeong-geun said, "The Hwaseong Boat Festival is a meaningful festival where we share the history, present, and future vision of Hwaseong Special City, which pioneered the Silk Road, with citizens in a joyful way," and "I hope it will be a precious time to empathize with the direction Hwaseong should take today, inheriting the pioneering spirit of our ancestors who opened the sea route and communicated with the world."
