The tournament, which has established itself as a leading amateur event in Korea, is hosted by Ido under the slogan 'Where the Legend of Korean Golf Begins' and organized by the Korea Golf Association (KGA). It is jointly sponsored by Hangang Asset Management, a real estate and infrastructure alternative investment management company, and the Didimdol Foundation, a public interest corporation.
The 3rd ClubD Amateur Eco Championship will feature over 180 amateur players representing Korea, competing to showcase their skills and lead the future of Korean golf.
This tournament will be conducted in a 4-round, 72-hole stroke play format, divided into men's and women's championships. Like professional golf tournaments, all rounds from 1 to 4 will be played as walking play, with a cut-off after rounds 1 and 2, followed by the 3rd round and the final round to determine the ultimate winner.
The event will be held at ClubD Boeun, a representative public golf course in Chungbuk. ClubD Boeun is one of the four golf courses operated by ClubD.
Additionally, this tournament is unprecedented in domestic amateur tournaments, with three major golf brands, Titleist, TaylorMade, and Callaway, providing tour cars to offer fitting services on-site for players. Premium golf wear brand Rolling Rollai, premium mattress brand Grand Bed, and Nest Hotel are sponsoring the tournament with prizes.
Choi Jeong-hoon, CEO of Ido, said, "I hope this tournament will be an opportunity for junior players to grow further," and "We will develop it into a representative amateur tournament that can produce world-class players who will shine in Korea."
