[Financial News] Mercedes-Benz Korea announced on the 27th that it will officially launch the second-generation full-change model of the high-performance 2-door coupe 'Mercedes AMG GT', 'The New Mercedes AMG GT 55 4MATIC+'. It is the first generation change in 10 years since the first generation was launched in Korea in 2015.
The second-generation AMG GT is characterized by its powerful performance and stylish design. A total of two models will be introduced, and the high-performance plug-in hybrid (PHEV) model 'GT 63 S E Performance' is scheduled to be released within the year.
The New GT 55 4MATIC+ that landed in Korea this time combines a 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine with an AMG Speedshift MCT 9-speed transmission to deliver a maximum output of 476 horsepower and a maximum torque of 71.4 kgf·m. It reaches 100 km/h from a standstill in 3.9 seconds, with a top speed of 295 km/h and a combined fuel efficiency of 6.5 km per liter. The price is set at 205.6 million won.
The new car is equipped with active roll stabilization to enhance stability and agility, and supports rear-wheel steering up to 2.5 degrees. It also features the fully variable all-wheel drive AMG Performance 4MATIC+.

The exterior reinterprets the proportions of a classic AMG sports car in a modern way. The interior is wider than the previous generation and features more functions. The trunk space can be expanded to a maximum of 675 liters, about twice as large as the first generation, and an 11.9-inch touchable LCD central display is equipped.
Additionally, options preferred by domestic customers are provided as standard, including △AMG performance steering wheel made of Nappa leather △panoramic roof △head-up display △Burmester surround sound system △wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
To commemorate the launch of the second-generation full-change GT, Benz Korea will introduce a 'Launch Edition' limited to 10 units, emphasizing the charm of high-performance vehicles. In addition, customers who purchase and receive a new car this year will be offered the opportunity to receive driving education from a professional instructor and experience the circuit at AMG Speedway in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province.
