Seongnam City, Nakseongdae Park 'Dog Playground' Established... Open to Citizens from the 31st

【Financial News Seongnam=Jang Chung-sik Reporter】Gyeonggi-do Seongnam City announced on the 27th that it will open a dog playground in Nakseongdae Neighborhood Park (Baekhyeon-dong 523) in Bundang-gu to citizens on the 31st. 
To this end, the city invested 160 million won over the past 1 year and 6 months to create a 1083㎡ (328 pyeong) dog playground in Nakseongdae Park (near the Seongnam Anti-Japanese Militia Memorial Tower).
Nakseongdae Park Dog Playground allows dogs exceeding 40cm in body height to use the large dog playground (480㎡), and those below to use the medium and small dog playground (450㎡).
Each space has coarse sand (masato) on the ground, and benches (7), round benches (5), and drinking fountains for dog owners and dogs have been installed.
Additionally, the large and medium/small dog playgrounds are surrounded by a 1.5m high wire fence, and the central passage is covered with a 2.4m wide, 20m long mat (coconut mat) to create a walkway.
Nakseongdae Park Dog Playground is open 24 hours a day, and only registered dogs and dog owners aged 13 and over are allowed entry.
With the establishment of this Nakseongdae Park Dog Playground, the number of dog playgrounds in the Seongnam area has increased to 9.
Existing dog playgrounds in operation are △Hwangsong Park △Central Park △Yuldong Park △Near Tancheon Taepyeong Sujin Rest Area △Near Tancheon Yatap Sasong Bridge △Near Tancheon Jeongja Gungnae Bridge △Near Tancheon Gumi Water Park △Sampyeong-dong Unjungcheon.
There are 71,232 registered dogs in Seongnam City.
