[Financial News] The number of participants for the 2026 College Scholastic Ability Test's June mock evaluation has surpassed 500,000. Notably, as major universities' science and engineering departments incorporate the social studies section in admissions, there is an influx of applicants, whereas the number of science studies applicants slightly decreased.
According to Hanguk Gyoyuk Gwa Jeong Pyeongga Won on the 27th, the evaluation will be conducted simultaneously by over 500,000 students at 2,119 high schools and 511 designated academies nationwide on June 4. The results of this June mock evaluation will be notified to the examinees on July 1.
As of the registration deadline on April 11, the applicants comprised 413,685 current students and 89,887 graduates or other examinees, totaling 503,572. Compared to last year, the number of current students increased by 28,250, and the number of graduate examinees increased by 1,189, resulting in a total increase of 29,439.
By section, the number of applicants is as follows: Korean language 503,343, Mathematics 500,667, English 503,079, Korean history 503,572, Social studies 368,018, Science studies 248,642, Vocational studies 7,283, and Second foreign language/Chinese characters 25,243.

Among the examinees, those eligible for test accommodations include 16 severely visually impaired examinees, 46 mildly visually impaired examinees, 73 severely hearing-impaired examinees, and 9 examinees with cerebral palsy or other motor disabilities, totaling 144. Severely visually impaired examinees are provided with braille test papers and audio evaluation materials (files for screen reader programs) for sessions 1, 3, and 4, and braille information terminals that allow the use of calculation functions upon request in the mathematics section of session 2 and the exploration section of session 4. Mildly visually impaired examinees are provided with enlarged (118%, 200%, 350%) and reduced (71%) test papers, and severely hearing-impaired examinees are provided with the script for the listening evaluation in session 3.
Additionally, the test time for severely visually impaired examinees is extended by 1.7 times per session compared to regular examinees, and for mildly visually impaired and motor-disabled examinees, the test time is extended by 1.5 times per session compared to regular examinees.
Meanwhile, Hanguk Gyoyuk Gwa Jeong Pyeongga Won states that this June mock evaluation is identical in nature, test areas, and number of questions to the 2026 College Scholastic Ability Test scheduled for November 13. This allows examinees to diagnose and supplement their preparation for the test, adapt to the level and type of questions, and identify areas for improvement in the test creation and scoring process for the 2026 test. Additionally, the basic direction of the June mock evaluation, the direction of questions by area, and the connection ratio with Korea Educational Broadcasting System (EBS) test materials will be announced through separate materials on the test day.
