The city is expanding the subjects of support this year to reduce the economic burden on job-seeking youth and enhance their employment capabilities, following last year.
The target is young people aged 18 to 39 residing in Yongin City (born between 1985 and 2007), and they can receive reimbursement for exam fees up to 300,000 won per person without limitation on the number of attempts.
Applicants must be unemployed on the day of the exam, but short-term workers (contracts less than one year) can receive support even if employed.
Young people participating in similar projects by other government agencies are excluded from the support.
The project is operated in the first half (May~July) and the second half (August~November), and applications can be made in the second half if the first half budget is exhausted early.
If the budget for the second half is also exhausted, this year's project will end.
The supported exam types include 19 language exams such as TOEFL, TOEIC, 540 national technical qualifications, 347 national professional qualifications, 97 nationally certified private qualifications, totaling 1,004 types.
Applications can be submitted online through the Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation's integrated application system 'Jobaba Apply'.
