Collision between Truck and Passenger Car in Gimpo Injures One... Traffic Jam on Commute

[Financial News]  On the morning of the 27th, around 8 AM, a 3.5-ton truck collided with a passenger car on Gimpo Hangang-ro in Gochon-eup, Gimpo-si, Gyeonggi-do.

As a result of this accident, a man in his 50s, the driver of the passenger car, was injured and is being treated at a nearby hospital by the 119 rescue team.

Immediately after the accident, the truck overturned, blocking all three lanes in the direction of Ganghwa-do, causing congestion during the morning commute.

The city of Gimpo urged through disaster text messages, "All lanes are closed for accident handling, so please use detour roads."

In relation to this, the police plan to investigate the specific circumstances of the accident based on the black box footage of the accident vehicle and witness statements.

A police official said, "We are currently handling the accident vehicle and have partially resumed traffic," adding, "The injured person is not in life-threatening condition."
