[Financial News] S-OIL announced on the 27th that it held a 'Welfare Facility Environment Improvement Donation Ceremony' at Sarangui Jeonhwa Mapo General Social Welfare Center in Mapo-gu, Seoul, and delivered a total donation of 50 million KRW. This project was carried out in collaboration with the eco-friendly startup 'Lee Yoo CNC (EUCNC)' in which S-OIL has invested.
EUCNC is a startup that develops and produces eco-friendly paint with both insulation and heat-blocking functions, which, when applied to building exteriors, reduces energy use and carbon emissions. S-OIL strategically invested in EUCNC in March last year to expand cooperation with SMEs possessing carbon reduction technology.
This donation will be used for △ eco-friendly paint application on welfare center exterior walls △ safety renovation of outdated facilities △ mural painting and other environmental improvement works. Previously, a similar eco-friendly remodeling was conducted at Samdong Boys Town, a children's residential facility, last year.
An S-OIL official said, "It was a meaningful project to contribute to society together with the invested company," and added, "We will continue to seek various new business opportunities, including in the eco-friendly sector, to achieve sustainable growth." moving@fnnews.com Lee Dong-hyuk Reporter
