A complex media plaza with large LED billboards and fountains/ponds
[Financial News] Kumho Construction announced on the 27th that it will introduce a media facade for the first time in Busan at 'Ecodelta City Athera', located in block 24 of Ecodelta City, Gangseo-gu, Busan.
The media facade is a compound word of 'Media' and 'Facade', the exterior wall of a building, and is a method of installing LED billboards or lighting on the exterior walls of buildings to create videos or graphics. It is a representative media art genre that implements art using urban buildings as a canvas, and is recently being applied to apartments for brand image differentiation and nightscape improvement.
Athera is Kumho Construction's residential brand meaning art on the land. Through this complex, Kumho Construction plans to present a new residential culture by creating a complex community space where technology and art are harmonized.
Ecodelta City Athera is a privately participated public sale housing with 16 buildings from 2 basement floors to 16 floors above ground, with a total of 1,025 households, and exclusive areas of 59·84㎡. It is supplied at a reasonable price with a price ceiling system applied.
In the first priority subscription, the exclusive 84E㎡ type recorded the highest competition rate of 139 to 1, and currently, first-come, first-served contracts are in progress. Move-in is scheduled for March 2028.
In the center of the complex, a sunken community plaza will be created where various water facilities can be experienced, and on the outer wall of the plaza, a super-large LED billboard measuring 10m wide and 5.5m high will be installed. This billboard will be used as a media facade that can broadcast media art content.
In particular, the media facade is expected to be created as a complex cultural art plaza where light and water harmonize with water facilities. During the day, cool fountains and greenery will breathe life into the space, and at night, colorful media productions will enliven the area.
The landscaping area of Ecodelta City Athera is planned to be over 35%, more than twice the legal standard, making the entire complex like a park. △Three children's playgrounds △One infant playground △Two pet playgrounds △Two resident exercise facilities, along with various outdoor spaces such as pine tree groves, maple tree forests, and cherry blossom paths, will also be provided.
Various community facilities such as a sky lounge and guesthouse located on the top floor, an indoor gymnasium, a kids' room, a small library, and a golf practice range are also equipped. The exclusive 59㎡C type includes a powder room and dressing room, while the 84㎡A type features a home bar, pantry, and alpha room, with custom storage and space utilization design applied.
All units are equipped with advanced residential systems such as a wall pad and smart switch, and an open feeling is secured with glass railing design.
A kindergarten and elementary school are planned right in front of the complex. Middle and high schools are also within walking distance, providing an excellent educational environment. In addition, Hyundai Premium Outlet Busan Branch (tentative name), a large waterfront park, and a central commercial district are also planned, making the living infrastructure excellent.
A representative from Kumho Construction said, "As this is the first Athera brand complex introduced in Busan, we have fully embodied Athera's philosophy of breaking down the boundaries between art and life," and "We hope that residents can experience special emotions in their daily lives in a space where media art and nature are harmonized."
