"Leading K-Defense"... Daejeon City Signs Support Agreement with 22 Defense Ventures

Total of 144 Agreement Companies, Largest in the Nation... Full-Scale Discovery of Defense Projects, Technology Development, and Management Support
The participating defense ventures include 19 new companies and 3 extensions, increasing the number of agreement companies with the Daejeon Defense Venture Center to 144, the largest in the nation.
The event held at the Daejeon Technopark Eoullim Plaza on this day was attended by more than 120 people, including company officials, and proceeded in the order of signing and exchanging agreements, delivering plaques, and introducing the technology of the agreement companies.
Participating companies include △Gaon Platform △Daeyoung MNS △BNF Technology △Stella Vision △SIMS Reality △SLM △ARN Tech △ASB △H3R △Overlay △OAQ △Instec △Intergravity Tech △KNS INC △Terra Works △TAB △PD Solution △Korea Digital Twin Research Institute △Hura, which are promising companies with advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), robots, and extended reality (XR).
Through this agreement, Daejeon City and the Daejeon Defense Venture Center plan to fully scale the discovery of defense projects, technology development, and management support for the agreement companies, focusing on creating tangible results for entry into the defense industry.
Lee Gi-young, head of the Daejeon Defense Venture Center, said in a welcoming speech, "The companies that signed the agreement this time are promising companies with advanced defense technologies," and "We will provide full support so that they can achieve tangible business results in the defense market."
Lee Jeong-in, head of Daejeon City's Defense and Space Industry Division, said in a congratulatory speech, "We will continue to discover small and medium-sized venture companies with technological capabilities, and do our best to create an industrial ecosystem as the capital of K-Defense by expanding technology development and military cooperation."
Meanwhile, the Daejeon Defense Venture Center was established in 2011 under the budget support of Daejeon City and has been actively supporting the entry of local small and medium-sized venture companies into the defense market. In particular, 17 companies from Daejeon were selected in the Defense Acquisition Program Administration's 'Defense Innovation Company 100' contest project, securing national funds, playing a key role in establishing Daejeon as the center of K-Defense.
