Paju City Recruits Participants for Homestay with Japanese Youth

【Financial News Paju=Reporter Kim Kyung-soo】 Gyeonggi Paju City announced on the 27th that it is recruiting participants for a homestay program to exchange with youth from its sister city, Sasebo City, Japan.
The youth homestay is a program where youths from both cities visit each other's homes to experience local life.
From July 25 to 28, Sasebo City youths will visit Paju City. From August 8 to 11, Paju youths will visit Sasebo City and live with Japanese families.
The recruitment targets are 4 students (1 male, 3 female) in grades 1 to 3 of middle school. It was organized considering one-on-one connections with Sasebo City youth participants.
Applications will be accepted until June 5. Selection will be made through a public draw. Participants will receive partial support for round-trip airfare to Japan.
Lee Chang-woo, head of the Paju City Autonomy Cooperation Department, said, "I hope this homestay will be a valuable opportunity for Paju youths to directly experience Japan's daily culture and understand each other's culture," adding, "I hope it becomes a chance to create lifelong memories beyond simple meetings and to grow into talents active in the international community."
