[Financial News] In the heart of Tokyo, Japan, products related to the Rising Sun Flag and Kamikaze, symbols of Japanese imperialism and militarism, are being openly sold, causing controversy.

Professor Seo Kyung-deok of Sungshin Women's University revealed through social networking services (SNS) on the 27th that "after visiting Harajuku in Tokyo, I found the situation quite serious," highlighting Japan's reality of showing a lack of consideration for neighboring countries and revealing a distorted perception of history.

He specifically pointed out, "They were selling various products related to the Rising Sun Flag, such as T-shirts, headbands, decorative patches, and stickers," adding, "Even large Rising Sun (pattern) flags were being sold."

He further noted, "Kamikaze-related T-shirts and headbands were also being sold," stating that "the headbands clearly had 'Kami (神)' and 'Kaze (風)' engraved along with the Rising Sun Flag."

The Rising Sun Flag is a symbol of Japanese militarism, and Kamikaze refers to the Japanese suicide attack units that crashed bomb-laden aircraft into enemy warships towards the end of World War II.

Professor Seo expressed concern, saying, "When I asked the merchants if they knew the meaning of the Rising Sun Flag and Kamikaze, they replied, 'What's the problem? It's a symbol of Japan,' revealing the seriousness of their distorted historical perception."

He also urged, "I was bewildered to see foreigners wearing headbands and taking pictures without knowing the meaning of the Rising Sun Flag and Kamikaze," emphasizing that "since merchants cannot be directly restrained, it is necessary to inform the world of the correct history of the Rising Sun Flag and Kamikaze so that people can properly recognize it."
