[Financial News] It was revealed that the dog owner told the bride-to-be, who was bitten by a dog in front of her workplace, "Did it even break a bone?", causing public outrage.
Grandmother chasing Jindo dog 'requested help' and got attacked
According to JTBC Incident Manager on the 27th, the victim in her 30s, who works as a barista at a cafe in Gyeongju, Gyeongbuk, was bitten by a dog while returning home in her fiancé's car on the 6th.
At that time, the victim witnessed a Jindo dog crossing the road, and when a grandmother chasing it asked for help by saying 'call its name', she responded and got attacked.
The Jindo dog, with a fierce look, bit the victim's thigh, arm, and several other areas.
The victim, who was urgently transported to the hospital, suffered partial tears in the muscles behind her left arm and sustained injuries to her thigh, elbow, and back, receiving a diagnosis of 3 weeks of recovery. It was reported that she is also undergoing psychiatric treatment and taking medication due to severe anxiety and insomnia following the incident.
When requested for CT scan, victim's son responds "Did the doctor tell you to do it".. sharp reaction
The victim, who fell backward and hit her head on the ground during the accident, requested a CT scan, but received an unexpected response from the owner's son during the process. He reportedly questioned, "Isn't that too much?", "Did it even break a bone?", "Did the doctor tell you to do that?"
Additionally, the fiancé requested the dog owner to submit a rabies vaccination certificate, but no response has been received.
The victim claimed that the Jindo dog is raised by a family living near the cafe and had shown problematic behavior before. It was often seen wandering the streets without its owner and had previously bitten other pets during walks.
The victim said, "At first, the dog owner said they would cover all medical expenses, but their attitude has gradually changed," adding, "Currently, I am receiving outpatient treatment, scar treatment, and psychiatric treatment after being discharged, but they seem to think it's just a simple bruise." She continued, "I am contemplating whether to proceed with a police complaint first or wait until early next month to attempt a settlement."
She stated that she is currently in a difficult state to even be with her pet dog, which she adopted during her volunteer work with stray dogs and has been with for 7 years, and has temporarily left it with her fiancé's family. She added, "Even as an adult, the shock is significant, and if a child had been attacked, what would have happened?" and "I decided to report this to raise awareness of the seriousness of the incident."
