Goyang Special City, Full Operation of Fountains and Water Playgrounds in Ilsan Urban Parks

【Financial News Goyang=Kim Kyung-soo Reporter】 Goyang Special City in Gyeonggi Province provides cool and comfortable resting spaces for citizens in preparation for the summer heatwave.
According to Goyang City on the 27th, the city will operate fountains and water play facilities in urban parks in Ilsan from the 3rd of next month to September 30.
The target includes 26 parks in Ilsandong-gu and Seogu. In Ilsandong-gu, 15 locations including Eochimi Park, and in Seogu, 11 locations including Munhwa Park will be operational.
The water play facilities for children installed in Jungsan Sports Park and Siksa Central Park will be operated from July 1 to August 17.
For the safety of users, the city plans to deploy 2 dedicated safety personnel at all times and conduct daily chlorine disinfection and bi-monthly water quality inspections by specialized agencies.
Lee Dong-hwan, Mayor of Goyang Special City, said, "As a heatwave is expected this summer, we will do our best to thoroughly inspect and operate the facilities so that citizens can spend a cool and safe summer in nearby parks," and "I hope the fountains and water play facilities will become a cool shelter for citizens to forget the heat."
