[Financial News] Actress Hwang Jung-eum has concluded her divorce lawsuit with former professional golfer Lee Young-don, her agency announced on the 26th.
The agency Y-One Entertainment stated in an official position on this day, "As of May 26, 2025, Hwang Jung-eum's divorce lawsuit has been amicably concluded with the confirmation of the family court's mediation decision," and added, "Thus, the divorce has been formally established."
The conclusion of the divorce lawsuit means that all property seizures will be released.
Previously, on the 23rd, the monthly magazine Woman Sense reported that Geoam Coa, a steel processing and sales company operated by Mr. Lee, filed a loan repayment lawsuit against Hwang Jung-eum for 157 million won at the Seoul Western District Court last March, and last month also filed for the seizure of real estate worth 1.8 billion won.
Regarding this, the agency stated, "During the divorce lawsuit, both parties made property preservation dispositions against each other as part of the process of sorting out joint marital property, which is a common occurrence during divorce proceedings."
Hwang Jung-eum married Mr. Lee in 2016 and they have two sons. After initiating divorce proceedings in 2020, they dramatically reconciled, but last February, she filed for divorce again, alleging her husband's infidelity.
Recently, she was also put on trial for embezzling funds from Hunminjeongeum Entertainment, a family corporation in which she holds 100% of the shares, in 2022.
The agency stated, "We sincerely apologize for causing concern with various matters during the actress's personal divorce process," and added, "We will do our best to quickly conclude the remaining trial related to Hwang Jung-eum's personal corporation."
