[Financial News] Just before Democratic Party presidential candidate Lee Jae-myung visited Ajou University, a post soliciting a knife attack on the candidate was posted on Ajou University's anonymous community, prompting a police investigation.

According to the Cyber Investigation Unit of the Gyeonggi Southern Police Agency, at 10:51 AM on the 26th, a post saying "If you stab Lee Jae-myung today, I'll give you money, contact me" was posted on Ajou University's online community 'Everytime'.

Candidate Lee was scheduled to hold a meeting at Ajou University from 11 AM to discuss youth policies with university students.

The meeting ended without any issues around 12:15 PM, and it was reported that there were no signs of an attempted crime until candidate Lee left the campus at 12:40 PM.

The police have received a report on the post and have begun an investigation before filing charges.

A police official said, "We plan to conduct an investigation to identify and track the author in the future."

As the June 3rd presidential election approaches, posts hinting at harm to presidential candidates continue to appear, increasing anxiety.

The National Police Agency announced that as of the 23rd, they have received and are investigating 11 reports related to threats against candidate Lee. One report has also been filed concerning candidate Lee Jun-seok of the Reform New Party. Of these, six suspects have been arrested, and one has been identified.
