Lotte Corporation is hosting the 'Lotte-Korea Brand Expo' in Vienna, Austria. This event, held in the high-purchasing-power Central European market, features the participation of 50 outstanding Korean small and medium-sized enterprises.
According to Lotte Corporation on the 22nd, the Lotte-Korea Brand Expo, held from the 23rd to the 25th, is a co-prosperity program designed to support the overseas expansion of Korean SMEs. The event is co-hosted by Lotte Corporation, the Foundation for Cooperation between Large, Small and Medium Enterprises, and Agriculture and Fisheries, and the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA).
First launched in Taiwan in 2016, the Korea Brand Expo has been held 20 times in 17 countries including Germany, the United States of America (USA), Australia, and Vietnam. Lotte Corporation has structured the program around export consultations and promotional events to help outstanding Korean SMEs achieve tangible results in overseas markets. As of the first half of this year, a total of approximately 1,460 SMEs have participated in the Korea Brand Expo, conducting around 10,380 export consultations, with deals amounting to $1.15 billion (about 1.65 trillion KRW).
This event in Vienna brings together 50 top Korean SMEs from various sectors, including beauty, food, and household goods. During the expo, more than 200 buyers from 76 companies across Europe, including Germany, Hungary, and Romania, will be invited for export consultations.
At the business-to-consumer (B2C) promotional event, Korean SME products will be sold on-site, allowing organizers to gauge local demand and preferences and seek ways to enhance product competitiveness. A variety of side events, such as a K-beauty showcase, cooking shows, and Korean cultural performances, will also be held to introduce Korean products and culture to the local market and boost engagement with the Korea Brand Expo.
A representative from Lotte Corporation stated, “We will actively support the expansion of Korean SMEs’ exports and demonstrate the competitiveness of Korean products in the high-purchasing-power Central European market.”
